ครั้งแรกกับการชมผลงานของ ฮารุน ฟารอคกี นักทำหนังแนวสารคดีความเรียง (Essay films) คนสำคัญของโลกบนจอใหญ่

ฮารุน ฟารอคกี เป็นทั้งคนทำหนังและศิลปินชาวเยอรมัน เขามักใช้ “ภาพ” ที่เราคุ้นเคยนำมาจัดวางเสียใหม่ เพื่อให้ผู้ชมมองเห็นแง่มุมที่ต่างออกไป หนังสารคดีหลายเรื่องของเขาไม่เพียงแต่เป็นหนังสารคดี แต่ยังสะท้อนให้เห็นถึงกลไกการทำงานของ “สื่อ” (ทั้งภาพและเสียง) และ “ประวัติศาสตร์” ที่ส่งผลถึงการเมืองและชีวิตประจำวันของคนเรา
