Our Right to Live on a Healthy Planet

01 Dec 2022

We invite you to join a series of film screenings under the theme ‘Our Right to Live on a Healthy Planet’, to mark Human Rights Day on 10 December.
Today’s global challenges in limited resources, health and food insecurity, mass migration and conflicts are all interconnected. The devastating impacts of climate change that exacerbate these challenges both directly and indirectly threaten our human rights. In July 2022, the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution which recognises that ‘everyone, everywhere, has a human right to live in a clean, healthy and sustainable environment’
.
The EU Delegation to Thailand, in collaboration with the Rights and Liberties Protection Department (RLPD) of the Ministry of Justice and the Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning (ONEP) of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, will jointly hold this event to raise awareness of the right to a healthy environment, through four documentary films that illustrate the link between human rights and the environment
.
The event will take place from 9 to 12 December 2022 at House Samyan Cinema, 5th Floor Samyan Midtown Mall. All days are free and open to the public.
