Thai (English Subtitle) 'Kwan', an orphaned girl in Sukhothai, grows up in a village shaped by the raising and fighting of bulls. As she comes of age, she longs to break free from 'Yos', the uncle who governs every part of her life, and 'Yai Ang', the grandmother who took her in as a child, counting on her for care in old age. Since birth, Kwan has been told she survived only because of Mae Sameang, the village's sacred spirit shrine said to tame even the wildest, most unbroken bull through ritual. For Kwan, the story was never just a story. She has always felt the spirit stirring inside her. Then 'Nart', her free-spirited aunt, returns from Bangkok and offers Kwan a way out. But hope curdles into dread: even in the city, Yos and Yai Ang might still reach her, still hold her. So the girl who only wanted to be free begins to change. One by one, Kwan turns the rituals on her own family raising them, breaking them, taming them like bulls for the ring, until she is no longer praying
