MOVIE INFORMATION

On the Tenderness of Men / Blooming (À Qui le Monde) #WTD2025

R:Not Yet Rated

On the Tenderness of Men is a speculative non-fiction film that uses archival material to explore Finnish history, architecture, and displacement. It reflects on intercommunal "othering" by examining the controversy around Helsinki's "Rock Church" and the lasting impact of past atrocities. / Blooming (À Qui le Monde) - Founded as a refuge from slave traders, Ganvié, Benin's stilt villagers who once resisted colonization, are today threatened by a new invader: the water hyacinth. A local company transforms this plague into a resource through exhausting labor. Raw realism and imaginary visions blend together, as if one could only be understood—or endured—through the lens of the other. ***Loyalty cards (10 Points for Free Voucher) and complimentary vouchers cannot be used for this movie.***
